Honey, my favourite sweetener, best medicines and health supplement.

Each time when I am feel dry for my throat, a glass of honey water works wonder.

When I catch a flu with a bad sore throat, honey will be my medicine.
One teaspoon of honey and it will sufficient to soothe my uncomfortness.

When I am preparing salad, lime and honey will add the sweet and sour touch.

Whenever, I feel tired and stressful, honey will be my friend...

I love honey for the above reasons and more for its nutritional values.

Tuna Macaroni

Once in a while, it is good to have some other meal beside rice.
Here I have a recommendation:

Tuna Macaroni Salad Recipe

Ingredients
1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
1 teaspoon salt
1 quart water
1/2 cup chopped green onion
1 cup chopped red, orange, and or yellow bell peppers, seeded and de-stemmed
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, packed
2 cans of tuna, packed in olive oil (do not drain), or if you get tuna packed in water, drain the water out and add 2-3 Tbsp olive oil.
2 stalks of celery, chopped
Juice of 1/2 lemon, freshly squeezed
1/4-1/3 a head of lettuce (preferably iceberg lettuce), sliced first and roughly chopped into 2 inch long strips
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon paprika (we use sweet Hungarian)
Fresh ground pepper

Method

1 In a saucepan, add 1 cup of elbow macaroni to 1 quart of boiling water with an added teaspoon of salt. Simmer either covered or uncovered for about 10 minutes until the macaroni is just a little more cooked than al dente. When ready, remove from heat, drain and rinse with cold water.

2 While the macaroni is cooking, assemble the other ingredients. In a large bowl mix the green onion, bell peppers, parsley, tuna, celery and lemon. Fold in the iceberg lettuce and mayonnaise until well mixed. Add the paprika. Add fresh ground pepper to taste.

3. Serve when ready.

Serves 4.

Benefits of Grape seeds Extract

Does anyone take grape seeds when you are taking your grapes?

It seem like most of you will peel away the skin and spit out the seeds due to the tough and bitter taste.

What a lot of people do not know is Grape skin and seeds contain a lot of vitamins and antioxidants and we should make full use of it.

Here is an extract article from Wikipedia:

Since the 1980s, biochemical and medical studies have demonstrated significant antioxidant properties of grape seed oligomeric proanthocyanidins.Together with tannins, polyphenols and polyunsaturated fatty acids, these seed constituents display inhibitory activities against several experimental disease models, including cancer, heart failure and other disorders of oxidative stress.

Grape seed oil from crushed seeds is used in cosmeceuticals and skincare products for many perceived health benefits. Grape seed oil is notable for its high contents of tocopherols (vitamin E), phytosterols, and polyunsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid, oleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid.
